Hi, I'm Richard, a 42 year old therapeutic counsellor/psychotherapist (Dip.Couns, MNCPS Acc., MBACP) based in the West Midlands. I have been supporting clients with counselling and psychotherapy since 2020.
I work with individual clients (aged 16+) for one-to-one sessions and with couples seeking to explore and rebuild struggling relationships.
I have extensive experience as a therapist and have worked with a wide range of presenting mental health issues from a diverse mix of clients in terms of social, cultural, and religious backgrounds. As a result, no matter your situation, you can feel confident that I am well placed to support your needs.
I am fully qualified (Dip.Couns), and an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS Acc.), and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP).
In addition to my CPCAB diploma in therapeutic counselling, I have completed further training in;
I also believe private counselling should be as affordable as possible, so I keep my rates as low as I can. I hope that in doing this more people may be able to access support at the point of need and not have to rely on lengthy NHS wait times.
For anyone curious as to why I chose counselling, it may sound like a cliché, but I could not wish to be doing anything else with my time. Becoming a counsellor was a dream I held for 12 years, and I feel blessed to share so many transformative journeys with clients.
I have a sincere passion for my profession, continually striving to develop my skills and knowledge to offer the best possible support.
